What do the LED Indicator Lights on my Hot Tub Mean?

When using your hot tub, you’ll notice several LED indicator lights on the topside control panel. These lights are designed to inform you of the current status of your spa and its components. Here’s a breakdown of what each light means and how to interpret them:

Your hot tub has a handy set of LED lights on the control panel that keep you in the loop about what’s going on with the different functions. Let’s break down what those lights mean, so you can relax and enjoy your spa like a pro!

Green LED Lights – Accessory Status

Every time you turn on a function like the pumps, lights, or blower, you’ll see a green LED light up on the control panel. If the green light is glowing, it means that accessory is active and doing its job. If it’s off, the accessory isn’t in use. Simple as that!

Red LED Lights – System Status

Now, the red LED lights are where things get interesting. There are three of them, and each one tells you something different about how your hot tub is operating.

AUTO LED Light

When the AUTO LED is on, it means the filtration pump is running automatically. It’ll switch on and off as needed to keep the water clean and warm. If you decide to manually switch the pump on or off, the AUTO light will go off. But don’t worry—after 45 minutes of chilling, the system will flip back to AUTO mode on its own.

Heater LED Light

This one’s for the heat! The Heater LED comes on when the hot tub’s heating element is doing its thing. The system controls the heater automatically, turning it on and off to keep the water at just the right temperature. But if you turn the filtration pump off manually, the heater won’t work, since the water needs to circulate through the pump. Also, if you crank up the pump to high speed or run multiple pumps, the heater might take a break to make sure everything stays within the system’s power limits.

Sleep Cycle LED Light

When the Sleep Cycle LED is on, it means the hot tub has entered a quiet, restful mode. During this time, the automatic functions like filtration and heating take a pause, giving you a peaceful, silent spa. Sleep cycles are great for overnight use when you don’t need the water to be heated or filtered. Once the sleep cycle ends, everything will go back to normal!
